On March 4th 2021, Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University announced their partnership with LeBron James and Nike. This six year deal will provide official athletic footwear, apparel and equipment for all 14 sport programs and the Marching 100. Throughout the year FAMU Athletics has teased the public with several Player Exclusive LeBron James sneakers. The Marching 100 even debuted a LeBron FAMU XX sample at the Battle of the bands for the Orlando Classic. Before the deal was inked LeBron wore the first pair designed by @toussaintking while playing against the Phoenix Suns. His caption stated, “MAJOR S/O @FAMU_1887!!!! Looking forward to what the future holds! ” The future is finally here. Nike recently loaded the Official Public release of the Florida A&M University LeBron 7, January 7, 2023. If you follow us, you know how excited we were to hear this news. Nike plans to also support FAMU students as a whole through development programs, internships and various networking opportunities. This deal is more than just a sponsorship and sneakers.
